FRIENDS OF LOMA PORTAL

The Loma Portal Foundation continuously raises funds to support various programs at Loma Portal Elementary School, some of which include the arts and technology programs.  Without this funding, these and other fine programs currently available to the children would cease to exist. Unfortunately, the recently announced state cutbacks will mean the Foundation will be called upon to provide even more funding. 

We believe these programs are an integral part of developing our children-the future America, and therefore continue to be committed to doing our part.  Because we also believe good schools are a direct reflection of the entire community, community involvement is important to us as we focus on creating a local elementary school that everyone can be proud of.

As a result, the Foundation has begun a “Friends of Loma Portal” campaign.  Your contribution will help to insure the continued existence of these vital and much needed programs. As you may be aware, last year some of our programs were featured on a broadcast of the KUSI news in which they referred to Loma Portal as a “Progressive Little School.” 

It is through the kind and generous donations made by individuals like you that we can be recognized in such a manner.  And because 100% of the money raised by the Foundation goes directly to the educational needs of our children, you know your contribution will be directly supporting them. Each contributor will be acknowledged in our End-Of-The-Year school newsletter.
